Starting them young [getting children involved!]

I've got competition in the new shed/workshop!
My 6 year old asked to try his hand at using the glass bead blasting cabinet.

My wife had asked me to build something with Joshua today.... we built a graphite carbon anode deruster.... [I've got a feeling that this is not quite what she had in mind!...] Wow does it work! just a few hours in, my scrap and very rusty MGB parts aren't scrap any longer....

I resisted the urge to use the kitchen oven for some powder coating, next on list is to find an old oven for workshop.

I'm all for this, I suppose an advantage is that you can place the small operator inside the blast cabinet for those really awkward areas too :-)

I was mixing concrete , restoring cars, mending fences . I have two daughters and they have helped out when they were young too. My favourite was stripping the car just after dad had purchased it. He bought a mg midget as a donor car, he put lots of money in the foot well so after dinner he could find it to make fun of me not finding it , what he didnt bank was me eating my lunch double quick and before he knew it i was back out taking out the carpets found the money and a nice blue torch , finders keepers i said . I was about 10
