Inlet manifold bypass thread not good

Hi all,
Waiting for inlet manifold gaskets to arrive so the manifold is still off. Should I be fixing the thread on the bypass into the thermostat housing? The adapter has always been barely seated, and with Loctite it was doing ok, no leaks.

If I were to repair this hole. Is there a thread insert kit available for this size and thread of hole?

I wouldn't risk it after all your hard work Tanya,I think it's 1/2" bsp but would have to check so don't quote me on that.

Just checked my spare manifold ,its 3/8" bsp or very similar .A 3/8" fitting fits well and there is lots of meat to play with so you could helicoil or go up a size in tap and get a horsetail to suit.
