thanks for the pictures, how meany vents per side do you have,will be practicing first on old metal bits before i take the plunge on my bonnet

Hi Dave,

There are 16 per side at 8" long.

IMO they are a perfect scale to the bonnet size as well as location but that's a personal choice.

Photos can explain more, have tried to put a tape next to them but difficult with i phone camera but I think you'll get it, if not let me know and I'll take some more.

are you sure thats your bonnet and not a mirror thanks jeff they look so cool hope they turn out as good when i try it on mine

Thanks for compliment Dave although it needs further polishing now the paint has shrunk back.

You can keep your 2 pack with it's dangers and cost, good old celly for me especially doing it in my garage.

did you know they do a 2k water based paint now, not tried it

Think you'll find it still needs a hardener to activate it (To make it go hard - ooer) and it's the hardener that contains the isocyanates that's dangerous, could be wrong and if I am no doubt someone will tell me on here, as usual.

Don't you also have to spay it with a certain amount of humidity in the air as well, I know some of the big Spray booths for the buses are fitted with a water misting system for this reason

Thinking about it Dave, I remember using acrylic primer (water based) and mixed it with celly thinners but no hardener.
