its wet and windy out so that rules out stag and bike (should have gone out early)for today, just finishing my vat and sending off taxcheque.

but 2nd stage Tour de France is live on eurosport.

what are you going to do on this fantastic summers day!!

Just done a 5 hour roundtrip to Brighton ,paid £4 to park for an hour to watch 4 minutes of cheerleading that my youngest was in .Very good but a long way just for that.

And it was raining most of the way so the stag was off the menu

Sorry, I should have warned you all that rain was on the way. We are having our annual "Family Barbeque in the Rain". Get out in it, its not that bad.

I can't go diving as it's too windy and I can't drive the Stag as it's too wet so I've fallen back to a traditional summers day pass time. Decorating.

Just driven back from Weymouth - and not in the Stag as planned either. Weather forecast was p**s-poor for the weekend (and for where I was, absolutely right - gales and very wet) so SWMBO persuaded me that the Honda would be more practical as the Stag soft top leaks on the kids when it rains hard (I'm not worried coz it doesn't rain on me....).

She just wanted to pack more shoes:shock:

didnt risk hoods down to goodwood but went to box hill (think that is how you spell it) instead. We ended up leaving later, just to guarantee that we got caught in torrential rain and I am pleased to announce that duck tape is officially the only thing that gives 100% leak protection to 8cm rips in the soft top. So that is 24cm sq cm that is waterproof out of 3 square metres that isnt. Still, Michael enjoyed it as much as me. When you can flick between the extremes of mine and my daughters music collection on an iPod, as I can do now, a little bit of water dripping through the roof doesnt matter too much.

After that we ended up at friends enjoying a great late sunday lunch and some fine hospitality.

Long live weekends and see some of you Tuesday at the blacksmiths
