Hello everybody, The fuel cut off on my TV8 engine does not work. I replaced it by another one, which I had reworked before, but still it does not work. If I pull that grey plug nothing happens and the engine keeps running. What can be done? Kind regards, Dieter.

They are incredibly simple inside and although I've never pulled one apart, I believe you just need to depress two locking lugs to open it.
IIRC Drew detailed it all, with pictures, if you do a search.

As Julian says they are very simple inside. I wonder if it has played up in the past as can get corrosion on the contacts, and a previous owner just bypassed it?Comment

Are you sure the pump keeps running? The engine will take a minute or so to die. Someone may have re-wired the pump previously and bypassed the inertia switch.

Hello Nick, You were spot on right. It only takes some time for the engine to die. When I pull this grey, plastic nipple, the petrol pump does not even start ticking. Thank you again for this hint.
