    East Anglian Auctions

Interesting private collection of low mileage Triumphs being auctioned at East Anglian on 28th September: http://www.eama-norwich.co.uk/the-classic-lid205.html

    20 Mile 1961 Herald 1200 http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C422005
    67 Mile 1977 Dolomite HL http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C422032
    79 Mile 1979 Dolomite 1500 http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C422013
    3750 1961 Herald 948 http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C422008

I'll take the 948 off their hands the estimates for the Dolomites look a little optimistic.

Ridiculous price guides, these cars are hardly exotic and were built to be used, the 948 certainly looks the best buy of the bunch.

Absolutely nuts, the only thing that can't be matched by a rebuilt car is the low mileages and cars are meant for driving. Would they expect anybody to keep in a garage to preserve the low mileages ! instead of using. You can buy some nice cars to use for £15k !

Is it suddenly time for low mileage Triumphs to surface?

Dunno but for a grand more than this £18995 advertised price for the Herald in the Autotrader you can buy a1996 Bently TurboR from the same site.

Problem is you wouldn't be able to use either of these cars, couldn't use the Herald because if you put any miles on it the price would plummet (why have a car and not use ?) and if you used the Bentley and something broke it would need a second mortage on your house to repair lol.

Be really interesting to see what they actually fetch; I can't see then getting anywhere near the guide prices but then what do I know?
