Are these the captive plates that are part of the frame? As they're listed as separate part numbers they should be changeable.

Not tried it Dave but the plates are prob released by bending back a metal body tab.

I just fitted a new hood from Jim that fits perfectly, unlike the Rimmers one that was 3 inches to short and cost £300 more, anyway, I had two such threads worn so that you couldnt tighten them, so all I did was fit a stiffnut on the back, theres plenty of room to get your hand in there, check you have enough threads protruding for the nut, else fit slightly longer bolts.

Now when I buy Motorcycle gloves, I have to buy XXXL size.
Maybe thats why I found it no problem at all fitting those nuts, my long fingers meant my arms where irrelevant, (except for holding my hands in place).

had a look at how you would get the soft top fixing plate out today, theres a bracket fixed to the inner rear wing from behind, but if you cut the bracket you wouldnt be able to reweld it back in ( because you would have to weld from behind )so the long shot is ill have to fit a nut on the back of the fixing bolt
