The Paintshop had wax oiled my shell though it was hard to detect.
So Ive gone over the whole lot with Bilt Hambler Dynax.
I find its a lot easier to apply than Waxoil, you can buy Dynax in cans and get the long spray nozzles, that stuff then sprays out in a 360% fan with a lot of force, in the areas I can see, it looks like it gets to every inch, complete coverage.

I also bought the 5 lite bottle which I find if you sit it in boiling water, will eject from a common plastic plant/hair water atomiser.

Then for where I dont want that thick brown stuff, I use the Dynax that is clear and hardly visible for inside doors etc.

Once it dries, its like quite hard so it will stay put, some spilt inside my Kitchen sink, I purposefully havnt cleaned it off yet to see how good it is, hot soapy water just runs off it, its still there after a week.

Their blurb says its compatible with all other cavity waxes. I like the giant aerosols, no need to clean up icky injection equipment. and it atomises so much better than the waxoyl "nail in a pipe" method.

I'm going to inject first with a rust neutrality solution. Rustbuster fe123 scored number 1 in tests and leaves a good surface to then apply wax. I personally think its better to treat the rot before covering it.

            Hi Brian

I thought you would have listed completing your mark 1 2000 resto first?

            Cheers

              Hi

Jobs on the Stag include brake fluid change, fitment of header tank and external water pump, repairs to lip of front offside wheel arch and relocate the alternator.

              Regards

Yes very, I get no complaints at having the complete Stag interior, fuel tank, rad, in fact all the Stag parts apart from the shell, wheels and exhaust all stored in the front room for 4 years, that along with the BSA Victor, oh and the Norton Commando in the bedroom.
Even when I originally rebuilt the engine in the hall, not even a raised eyebrow.

                    Either break it or...

                    1. New sills. The offside outer is off so starting on offside inner tomorrow night. Expecting the same on the nearside.
                    2. Any inner arch work etc that comes as a result of 1 above.
                    3. Refurb rear suspension and polybush
                    4. New diff oil seal and pinion seal
                    5. Fit new Holley manifold
                    6. Refit driver's door
                    7. Build new double garage (oh yeah and house - priorities)
                    8. Get MOT

That should keep me busy for the winter
Paul - 3 projects, 1 breaker - garage built and housing 2 white Stags. One runs, one doesn't

Hi Guys my list is growing by the day but hopefully in this order. Clean and waxoil chassis, overhaul power steering pump, replace timing chains, change brake and clutch fluid, then off to the paint shop in Feb for a whole jobbie, then back on the road for March +/-.

Having my engine rebuilt over a year ago might try and see if it will start and scrap some of the dust of it and clear some of the c**p dumped inside see how i feel.. Adrian
