This bracket doesn't have any mounting holes, apart from the two big ones you see.
Iam stumped, (as usual).

Hi Nambo,

It looks like the tonneau lock plate mate it goes on the underside of the tonneau in the centre.

I was going to ask what it does as I cannot discern a difference, I could only get it to fit one way, so I preume the picture is correct?

Whilst Iam here, the inch holes under the tonneau, should they have grommets?

Your bracket has an extra 90 degree bend in it that should not be there. See the Rimmers link in a previous post. It should look and fit like this:

Ah ha - have we noticed a common theme though?

You've both appear to have metallic paint. Because metallic was never standard on the Stag, I reckon those cunning people at Triumph trained those brackets to turn their bottom lips up at metallic paint
