Is it possible to still get a MK2 grill badge ?. I know the surrounds are available all but pressed and not cast.I noticed that Rimmers list them as
To order only does this mean they are available.?
Mine fell out last week and a neighbour returned it to me. Safely it had been run over and was in 3 mangled pieces
Luckily I had a spare. Not quite as good as the one that fell out, but better than none at all. Tip of the day: check your badge inserts are securely fixed

Am I right in thinking that they were never available from Triumph as just the insert, it was only available as the compete badge and chrome surround?
I've just checked my original parts book (my 'leaving present' when I left the Triumph dealer I worked at back in the late 70's) and I can confirm that they only showed the complete badge. Obviously, two different numbers for the grey Mk1 and the black Mk2.
I heard someone discussing the badge situation with a trader at the national day. Apparently the tool for making them has broken and the maker reckoned it was game over as far as inserts are concerned.
I did look round the dealers back then in the hope of finding one but all were out of stock.

At risk of breaking some rule or other, it is possible for me to get them made by a firm I know (not mine).
Mine's a little rough but I didn't get around to looking for a replacement yet, now I know I won't.
I think I'll make a metal (Aluminium) replacement and maybe personalise it a little. Would look good with a Pimento, BRG or Black background and a raised, polished Stag. NB! Orders not sought!
