It's the 2nd anniversary of picking up my stag tomorrow, We have travelled 8,000 miles in it so far, met some very nice people and made some good friends, just hope the next period of ownership will be as intesting as the last, but not quite as expensive.

I've had mine since 13th August 1993 and will never part with it!
Just under a year longer than I have owned mine Mike - and like you I can't see myself ever parting with it.
By the way the 13th of August is the wife's birthday, and I've had her (as a wife!) twice as long as the Stag.
I think anyone who hangs onto a Stag for more than 10 years should be given a special badge or plaque by the
Club (how about it Andrew) say a bronze one for 10 years ownership, a silver one for 20 years, and a gold one for 30 years or more.
Or perhaps be awarded a special SOC T-Shirt with a bronze, silver, or gold Star on it.
i did have another one before this one, used to drive it to London and back every day in the days when I lived in Kent, it was GPE 580J mechanically great but bodily rather ruff!
Had that one 3 years or so....
Bought Mine in 1986 and there is not a chance I'll ever sell it. I do however need to get it back on the road as its been off since 2001. Its possible I might get it all done by the end of next summer but its more likely it will be the following year. In that year the Stag will be 40 years old and I will be fifty.
Two years this coming Christmas. Since then I have done about 120 miles in her 118 of those were on a AA trailer after breaking down on route home. Hopefully soon I will get her back together.
