Lots of people here have tried it - not me though.
But do a search for it on the forum, and I think you will generally find it well regarded.

Hi it's a well know product that is generally thought to offer some degree of stop gap protection. It's not really a long term solution though. My advice would be to get to a garage and get a head gasket sniffer test done.

That way you'd know for certain

From your description though I'd guess you're correct on you're diagnosis.

      Others may say different though

      We're exactly are you

I've used it successfully to control a water pump leak. Whether it would be good enugh to deal with a head gaket leak, I'm not sure but I'd be happy to try it.

The only downside I found was cleaning it out afterwards. I flushed and flushed and flushed but still I had lots of copper like residue.

        Good luck.

        Cheers

Julian quick question. Did the k seal have an affect on your heater. I have a small leak in to the v and I think is coming from the pump.
          Cheers Rob.

I never tried K seal but I always had good results from Barrs Leaks.

I was informed that K Seal was developed for the K Series engine as a fix for the head gasket, hence the name K Seal. I know a number of people that have used it with success including head gasket, radiator and manifold leaks. Worth a try for £9. Andrew

I did't notice any problem with the heater - it's always been really good I ran with the K seal in for about a year I guess.

Thanks Julian. I read somewhere that radiators sealers can sometimes block the heater matrix. Did it cure the water pump leak for you.

K-seal should'nt effect your heater, my car was full of it, put in by the PO, Head gasket went after 900miles , as Julian said it's a right bugger to flush out still not all gone, I also hoovered out the water galleries. I have also got a very small water leak in the V, from the pump?, when the car stands for a longish period, been told to leave it, but like you I keep thinking about it

                        Hi Rob,

I had a fairly significant leak into the vee and the Kseal did stop it. Heater continued to work perfectly but, as I mentioned, when I fixed the pump properly, it was a bit of a job to get all the Kseal flushed out fully.

Based on my experience, I'd recommend Kseal, although only really as a temporary fix.

                        Cheers

                              Rob.
K seal does not block the heater unlike some older leak sealers. When I refilled my cooling system after adding EFI, I had a leak from blanked off outlet on water pump cover, started engine and the K seal that was already in the engine, sealed it completely. Great stuff, and no I don't sell it.
