electronic ignition problem

The lumenition electronic ignition on my mk2 stag has gone "belly up". I checked it as per the lumenition test proceedures and there is no spark.

I'm considering fitting an in the dis cap unit. There are quite a few on the market. do any members have experience of these systems regarding. Ease of fitting, reliability and cost. Plus any other comments fellow members may wish to make. I did think about a lumenition replacement but perished that thought on cost, near enough £200.00.

Before you do that, double check the lumenition three wire connector block.

I have an AccuSpark unit that I carry as a spare, when I fitted it as a trial it seemed to go in ok and the guys at the supliers were helpful.

I fitted the accuspark as my luminition was suspect. No more problems and only around £30. (bet it goes wrong now!)

i fitted a http://www.pertronix.com/prod/ig/ignitor have had it in for 10,000 miles with no problems.
i have no connections with above company but very pleased with product also fitted flame thrower coil
