It's for the GT6 not the Stag. Glass is out of the car at the moment. Do you have advice on how to open the grooves to allow the plastic trim to slide into position when the rubber is fitted to the glass out of the car?
Hi Bruce
With the stag the trim was pushed the into the rubber toward the glass then the rubber was pulled down and maneouverd over outside of the trim.
I believe that moss sell a tool or flea bay have some
Cheers Glenn
I have a tool set (from Earlparts) that included a lozenge shaped tool to open out the rubber and a roller to push the trim down, all fitted into a handle.
Not sure where it is at present though...
Cheers,
Mike.
Mine since 1987. Finished a 20+ year rebuild in 2012. One of many Triumphs and a 1949 LandRover!
The Stag trim can be fitted as Glenn said but the GT6 trim has to be fitted after the screen is in place, as it locks the screen into place.
Fascinating as when I had the screen replaced a few years ago the professional fitted the rubber to the screen then fitted the chrome to the rubber before pushing the whole thing into place on the car.
does the trim fit inside the windscreen rubber seal,my brother bought a tool for fitting the trim,he bought it for the stag but its the wrong type for the stag ,
