OK I have posted here before re choke problems - basically appearing to get stuck on LH carb when being pushed back in. Idle tends to be at 600rpm though sometimes (not always) climbs to 1100 after a run and when auto gearlever put into neutral. What is causing that inconsistency?
Also, the other day, I parked my stag at the station and returned 10 hours later. Drove for 25mins and switched off. Returning to the car half hour later, turned key and click nothing - a bit like when starter motor jams. I turned key back and forth and moved autolever through its paces a couple of times. Eventually, the engine turned over but took ages to fire (as if fuel pump not delivering fuel). I had to stop a further couple of times more for half an hour at a time (i'm a piano teacher!) over the next couple of hours but no more problems.
The only other thing I noticed was that the seatbelt light was flickering on the move (for first time ever) and the brake warning light on RH of dash was glowing brightly
Car drives beautifully otherwise,
Any ideas how to kill off these gremlins?
Many thanks for any advice
