    K-seal part 2

hey guys, so recently with water in the oil and white smoke coming from the exhaust i was thinking the head gasket had gone. i should add that the car has a small hole in the exhaust which does not help i know, but we concluded it must be the gasket, so i bought trusty k-seal and applied it today, let the car run for 10 minutes and took it for a light drive, the car does start up nicely and ticks over fine, while driving power felt fine also. however the temp gauge still went on the red the car then felt sluggish. got her home and popped the bonnet not a lot going on noticed a lot of smoke coming from the carburettor not sure this is normal? or is it linked with the car be so hot on the red line ?

so overall im not sure if the k-seal worked or not is the water pump broken to the point the car just wont stay cool ? or has the gasket broken too far for k-seal to repair it. either way i cant drive it and i'll have to get someone too look at it

if anyone has any ideas thanks alot.

Did you make sure the rad was full, and no airlocks before taking it out?

Has the level now dropped? By how much?

If yes to all the above, the coolant must have dropped such a long way as to cause overheating.

Is the expansion bottle now full (or do you have a header tank?).

rad is fine recently flushed it, expansion is not full to be fair the engine just seems to be unwell and needs proper help I'll get a mechanic have a look one way or another the gasket has gone and that's gonna cost me an arm and leg before I work out what's causing the over heating ahhhhhh

Easy way to check, do a check for combustion gasses in the coolant, aka a "block test".
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

K-seal the wonder stuff, or so I thought.

Didn't fix a very small leak on my daily and had to have a new rad.

I was advised by others on this forum it is not a miracle cure and I can vouch for that.
