Fuel Tank PVC Vent & Drain Pipe Internal Diameters?

I am currently sorting out the lack of vent pipes for my petrol tank. I have had a good read up on the forum, so pretty much know what I need to do.

However, I was wondering if someone can tell me the internal diameter/s of the two seperate pipe runs? First off, are they both the same or different. From looking at various pictures I can't quite tell. Secondly what internal diameters and wall thicknesses should I buy?

I have pinched one of Drews photos (hope you don't mind!) and have posted here to show what I am on about.

Thanks Dave, that makes sense as the 6mm (1/4") does not fit on the fuel filters but 8mm (5/16") does.
