Hello folks , was just looking for a bit of advise please, I am under going a slow restoration job on my my 2 stag, and last weekend took the fuel tank out and cleaned it, as car has now not run for over ten years, would it be necessary to change the main fuel line as it looks to be in good order, the small pipes have gone brittle so need changing, the new replacement pipe appears to now be in copper and is quite expensive, I have access to a high pressure air line and could blow it through, I have been on this site before but quite a while ago and got good advise then, what do you recommend ? Regards bob.

Hi Bob,
Is your main fuel line the original steel ? Ie, the main section under the floor from around the front of the rear subframe to just coming up by the front bulkhead.
If you can blow it through and it comes out clean and if the exterior looks in good condition then I'd be tempted to leave it. I believe mine to be original and it seems ok.
There are various changes from the front to the back. IIRC it goes from (back first) plastic to rubber to metal to rubber to plastic to rubber to metal to rubber to metal
Cheers
Julian
