We just got back from our October Stag run. Cruise to Akaroa the little French part of New Zealand. Two boatloads of French settlers arrived in Akaroa two days after the Maori had signed up with Queen Vic! They didn't go back and it gives the area a different air to most of Gods Own!
It was a lovely day not super warm- high of about 22 C but our best turn out yet. Six Stags and a mobile towel warmer. 17 people for lunch at French Farm Vineyard Akaroa.

A discussion on header tanks ensued.

On the road up the outside of the crater rim that surrounds the harbour at Akaroa
Oct Run 4.jpg
The road is steep and twisty one eye on the temp gauges
Oct Run 5.jpg
But it's worth it for the view from the top and it's a grand ride back down to sea level.
