    Vive la Difference

We just got back from our October Stag run. Cruise to Akaroa the little French part of New Zealand. Two boatloads of French settlers arrived in Akaroa two days after the Maori had signed up with Queen Vic! They didn't go back and it gives the area a different air to most of Gods Own!
It was a lovely day not super warm- high of about 22 C but our best turn out yet. Six Stags and a mobile towel warmer. 17 people for lunch at French Farm Vineyard Akaroa.

A discussion on header tanks ensued.

The road is steep and twisty one eye on the temp gauges

But it's worth it for the view from the top and it's a grand ride back down to sea level.

Reserved parking at the vineyard! And not a white one in sight!!

A lovely setting and a great venue for our lunch. Good food and wine too!!

It took us a while to admire the views before dining.

But all good things come to an end and after a trip to Barrys Bay Cheese factory the drive home was almost as good.

Well done Nick; you've managed to raise the envy level in all of us over here on a wet dreary Sunday

      Great pictures.

Thought you'd all had a great Summer! We got lucky with the weather. On Saturday we had thunder, lightning and hail!

          Hi Nick,

Yes we did have a great summer, but Autumn is right with us now and it seems a long time until next summer.....
