Powder coating

For anyone thinking of powder coating parts on a stag here are my parts i picked up today. I,m over the moon with them and really cant wait to crack on with the engine build now.
I have gone for Chrome silver with a clear coat . It gives a nice stainless glow without being chrome itself .
Its a shame i cant dip the whole shell in and have that powder coated too

Now, you showed me yours so I'll show you mine Hopefully (but far from certainly) this will all be on my car next time we meet.

And yes, I know I haven't done the diff yet. I'm just waiting for a drain plug and tap that Neil is very kindly sending me before I paint it.

It does look great , the pictures do it justice but it's not as deep as chrome its more brushed stainless and matches the carb dash pots too. I,m now going to paint the heads wih a high temperature spray the can heated up slightly and have done a few test areas where i worked the paint in with a cloth into the grain of the alloy and it looks like new . I,m finding no matter how i clean and work on the heads the new alloy look is imposible it just turns shinny and will soon dull over. I will as always share my tips and listen to any of yours.

Yep, that's what I found with my suspension arms and, finally, I painted them.

Btw Edd, you haven't got a spare pair of cam covers have you ? You could get them powder coated like yours and I'd buy them off you

Ahh but mine comes with patented removable breather gauze. When I'm not traveling to bournmouth looking at university's or knocking through my cousins living room as favours I will knock you one up I'm also going to paint the triumph lettering black free hand so will buy some nice art brushes.
