rear subframe arms

[new to this]

been working on the rust bucket again today i now find part of the rear chassis leg has rusted, ive removed the trailing arm but need to get under the rear subframe arm

can i loosen the bolts to move it a bit without taking the exhaust of

you can do anything you want dave ! your brother told me lol.



I reckon you can loosen it and wiggle it but its fairly easy to remove even with the exhaust off as well and you would be far more comfortable if you weren't struggling for room.

Dave, the whole back end off is a quick job, you could give it a spruce up while you have it on the floor

the trouble is were working in someones else work shop,so dont what to take the pi..,thats why i want to keep the car mobile so he can move it about

Fair point. If you do take the sub frame off keep the washers and any shims in order for refitting.

Hi Dave,

Assuming you mean the pipes that go through the suspension arms, then yes. I've got mine off at the moment.
