So the plan for the weekend was simple drive down to parents in Devon reassemble my repaired and resprayed Hardtop put it on the car and drive back this morning simple eh. I'd reckoned with out the headlining. Now supposedly this item is a Kit, at which point I'd like to refer to the Oxford English Dictionary. Kit: "Articles Equipment Etc for a specific purpose" the only specific purpose of this particular kit was to drive me to insanity. problem number one it arrived folded and creased, it is now on the car (more by luck than judgement) it is still creased!! it didn't matter how hard i stretched it the creases were still there. Problem number two the pockets for the metal frame run right to the edge so a certain amount of guess work is involved in cutting it to fit. Fit: " be of the right shape and size for" which it simply bloody isn't. It didn't seem to matter what I did it just wouldn't tension properly pull the back the sides look awful and vice versa and as for the two side bits don't even go there all day Saturday I spent on it and the best you can say is it looks ok and thats only because the T bar is hiding the worst bits. You'd need a doctorate in upholstery to fit that properly
