    MOT passed but

My Stag has just passed its MOT with no advisories but it was noticed that the pipe leaving the exhaust box had cracked at the weld. I knew about this but haven't got round to fitting a couple of replacement boxes that I have. I was thinking of fitting a couple of straight through boxes but someone at NW mentioned a way of modding the standard boxes to straight through, anyone got any info on this?

I think it was Steve (Stag muffin) Dave, I think he said he just ran a large hole cutter down the middle

Deb my wife took the Stag for its MOT and loved driving it. She would have taken it for a long run but the weather ain't looking good here and I found the rear hood catch was broken this morning when I was trying to put the hood up in the dark at 6.30 before I left for work so the hood wasn't fixed down properly. She even noticed how much smoother the car is with the Weber fitted.

I've been looking at running a holesaw like others have said down to remove the baffles but the boxes I've got have a bend on both inlet and exit so I don't see how you can get a full bore cutter down the pipe without removing a bend first ???
            cheers Steve

as i have my boxes of at the moment,i would have liked to drill them out,i was going to cut the h part out any way to fit an x pipe i have had made, you can drill the top out, but can not see how you would do the bottom end, to many bends in the way
,unless im missing some thing ?

p.s do you think a chuck on a flexable cable would work ?

Out of curiosity are you changing to an x pipe to improve gas flow, or is their some other benefit, as I presume both would enable the burble?
