Good to meet up with Julian, Glenn and Edd (x2) today. I did bite the bullet and take the Stag despite the forecast. Fairly dry drive up only to be greeted by a downpour as I arrived. One other Stag spotted in the Classic Parking area - also in Carmine with silver pinstripes. Obviously another owner with impeccable taste
Apparently there was was a restored yellow Stag in the auction, but as entry was by catalogue only at a cost of £10 I didn't see it.
The show was, IMO, somewhat underwhelming. Only one fairly small hall with cars on display, plus some traders, and two halls with traders. Very little in the way of auto jumble, so the credit card stayed in my wallet. I spent quite some time in the Classic Parking area. I only went back to the car to put something in the boot and was surrounded by inquisitive people asking about the restoration, and Stag ownership in general. Eventually got back inside for a coffee (thanks J)
Dry run home so the a Stag is now washed, dried and tucked away in the garage.

It was great to meet you you at last Dave your car looked great . It was lovely to meet up with the others mentioned. I found the show short on interesting cars too, the stalls mostly contained the same things , actually the stalls had less usefull things than normal and i came away with just gasket paper for my gearbox .
What a rip off charging £10 to look at cars in the auction. I,m pleased i only had to pay £4 entry through groupon , they even had a dedicated window for the voucher tickets.
I will look into making the album you have of your car as its a really good idea.
Hopefully not long till we all meet again .
Edd
Yep, really good to see you all again - just sorry I had to leave a bit early.
I agree, the show wasn't brilliant this year - the one this time last year was much better and the one they hold there in the spring is much better, I reckon.
Having said that, give me the small shows anytime rather than the behemoth that is the Classic Car show at the NEC - even though I'm going to that again this year
Good to meet up with you all.
Managed to pick up a couple of bits that i wanted so not a total loss hopefully next show will be more like the ones i have attended there in the past.
Also i took a trip to Sams house (Staginhiding) nice to have met you at last Sam.
