    New main wiring harness

I'm rebuilding my stripped shell, and have decided for peace of mine to replace the main wiring harness with a new one. [I've seen what can happen when the insulation can start to fail, causing a short and fire]
I have been quoted £239 plus VAT for a new harness from Autosparks, but as they haven't got the harness pattern for my commission number [10175] in RHD, they will replicate my harness and then keep the original harness design to complete their Stag listing.

Before I send off my original harness and get them to make a new one, I thought I should consider if I should get any additions or alterations added in.
Any recommendations to add into my standard harness? I was thinking of wiring for a Kenlowe fan.

I am intending [at this stage anyway] of keeping the car pretty standard, apart from an external mechanical water pump and a mercedes header tank.

how about increasing the size of the wire that feeds the windows, so they go up and down quicker, also central locking, not sure the age of your car mk1/ mk2 but hazard warning switch

And maybe rear fog lights, if you want them, and feed to an electric aerial - again, if you're having one.

      Cheers

I'm thinking of central locking and maybe rear parking sensors.

Drew in his thread listed a number of modifications he had made to his wiring harness:

Thanks for the suggestions and also the link to Dasadrews really good thread. [I've now read every page of it, and its first class!]
I also found some good information in Duncan's [Skye] 'order of assembly' thread, which I have printed out in its entirety.
            Thanks,
            Dave

Amazing how much wiring there is!
