    Back home...

Well, after much fun in England; it's back to Canada. It was great to meet members of the forum and club and thankyou for making us so welcome!

I exchanged the old track rod arms for refurbished ones (thanks Chris Witor and his staff who gave us tips on places to visit in Somerset and a welcome cuppa) and I bought some bushes while there.

We're still in transit, but I understand there is no snow yet at home. So maybe we can get the suspension put back together, and actually get the ol' gal on the road to get the tracking done before the winter lay-up.

Hope all were ok in the storm yesterday, we were driving through the Cotswolds and the M4 through it all. I will miss all that beautiful scenary (but not the M4 )
    Cheers
    Tanya

P.S. Oh bother . Just remembered I have a brake warning light on..., and that needs a diagnosis

Drat ! I never realised you were heading this way Tanya. I only live about 5 miles from Chris and it would have been good to meet you and hubby if you had the time. Where did you visit in wonderful Somerset ?

    Cheers

Yes, a pity. You've given me lots of good advice, it would have been nice to meet up.
We went to Wells and Cheddar gorge, drove through Bristol to see the Clifton Bridge, and called in on relatives in Pontypool, Wales before getting back to Ludlow. The caves seem quite expensive, and I saw them as a kid, and hubby wasn't bothered about caves, but he did keep on about visiting Bath!We didn't though. It was a long trip.
We drove through Castle Coombe yesterday (was that only yesterday???) after visiting other relatives in Corsham
      Cheers

              Hi Tanya,

If you visited Wells and Cheddar Gorge, you probably drove past our house we're only about four miles from Wells. I'd describe it as our local town, except that it's actually a City - the smallest city in England

And, perhaps unsurprisingly, despite living in this area for about 45 years, I've never visited Cheddar caves.

Castle Combe - lovely but I'm not a big fan of Bath. It's a wonderful city, but it has always seemed to me to be anti-car so I'm anti-Bath

              Have a safe journey home.

              Cheers

              Julian

                    Morning Sam,

TBH I'm not a big fan of Wells (where can you buy any electrical goods or men's clothes, for example and, apart from the Cathedral, what is there to see ?) but I'd rather live near it than many other places As for parking, I do feel sorry for tourists, but when you know your way around then it's not usually a problem

I don't know if it's your computer Sam, but it doesn't like doing quotes very well, does it ?

                    Cheers

                      Hi Tanya,

It was great to meet you and Brian and show you around a little, we were so lucky with that weather on the Friday afternoon. Hope you enjoyed the whole of your stay here and got to ride in some other Stag's as well.

                      Safe Journey home.

                            Hi Tanya,

We had a great time at Stoneleigh - sorry we missed you. We did spend some time on the stand and also chatting to Martin.

Hope the trip back is/was OK and you're now back with renewed enthusiasm for the car. However, on past performances, I don't think you need to increase your enthusiasm!

                            Cheers,
                            Mike.

Might be back in April/May next year. I have a work meeting in Nottingham and may well be able to extend my time here, so hopefully can catch up then
