Interior lights

Hi folks trying to get my interior lights to work on my recent purchase 77 stag. bulbs were missing or blown i am waiting for new t-bar lense coming from rimmer , but can anyone tell me if lights on centre console have two wires on or just one .On mine their are two on passenger side but only one on drivers side i have had a look behind console but there doesn,t seem to be any spare . Also the light on the auto gate seems ok but doesnt work .

Hi Brian,

The whole subject of interior lights is surprisingly complicated on later cars - not helped by the fact that Triumph never produced an official wiring diagram for this later setup

The lights in the centre console both have two wires - a purple 12v permanent feed and a purple /orange or purple/slate. There is very little room to get to the terminals behind the console.

Interior lights have become a pet subject of mine so if you still need help, do come back on here or do a search - lots has been written on the subject.

Thanks Julian i will have another look to see if i can find the other wire , new lense arrived so will fit that too.
