    Lights only working on nearside?

Putting back all the bits after re spray, the offside lights front and rear are not working but the main beam is but not on the nearside.

Indicators work all round as does hazards.

Checked fuses and connections so baffled now, was all ok before stripped down.

    Any ideas anyone please?

    Jeff.

Have you got a Mk1 car? The offside side lights are on a different (parking) circuit.

OK common switching circuit but RH and LH are on different fuses so it must be a bad or lost connection somehwere from fuse to lights (I suspect the fuse box itself). Put a volts tester on the rear of the fuse box where the RO wire connects.

Nope, that's all fine and was ok before.

Don't forget the earth connection from the light to the body. See if you have 12V on both sides of the bulb.

            Cheers,
            Mike.

Thanks all, I always forget number one rule in electrics, check the earth first.

                Will check tomorrow.
