    Wind deflectors/ NEC

Do you think it likely that the manufactures of wind deflectors will have stands at the Show this weekend? I've never been before.

Unlikely, the cost of a stand at an event like this is probably prohibitive, what is it that you want to see? You have me with a breezebreaker in Corby, DaveB with similar in Kettering and the manufacturer of Bosscreen is only over in Peterborough

I've seen Dave's mesh one and liked that. Also the Bos screen, not seen the one that you have. Is it the one that has the mesh behind the seats and the solid fabric over the back seat? If so do you get drumming in the wind with that one?
      Thanks.

I have mesh with vinyl over the rear seat area and I can't say I've ever noticed any drumming. I bought mine at the SOC National Day a couple of years back & don't have the vendor's details I'm afraid.

I've got a breezebreaker (mesh screen and vinyl stretched over the rear seats) and it doesn't drum or flap or make any noise at all that I've ever noticed - I think the key is getting a good taught fit with the vinyl cover. It's the electric aerial on my rear wing that creates quite a loud "swishing" noise at speed that I always notice!

I have just been in contact with Breezebreaker. It is worth noting it is mounted at the front adge of the rollbar. Because I have my seat fully back and the rear angle quite 'relaxed' this would have meant the seat actually getting in the way-so iI've had to pass. The BosScreen is a rigid perspex panel i think.

I'm looking at one of these now. It fits on the rear edge of the rollbar. The flat rear section is mesh rather than solid vinyl

Mine isn't - it fits against the back (boot side) of the T-bar (if I haven't misunderstood what you've said). Unless of course he's changed the design since I bought mine a couple of years ago.

Looking at the picture it looks like it is on the back of the t bar, the boot side.
Have to admit I like the idea of a 'solid' cover over the back seat in preference to mesh, esp if it doesn't flap or drum.

Thanks everyone for your input. Can I ask if the breezebreaker is easy to fit, esp over the back seat and getting that taught. Also does it store in the boot when not in use, and can the roof be put up with it on?
                  Sorry for all the questions.
                  Thanks

I had an email from the maker of the Breezebreaker this week explaining how it fitted. Maybe it has changed?

I have a Boss screen which fits great and in seconds and does a fantastic job of reducing wind and noise. One of the best things I've bought for the car.

Easy to fit - yes, very.
Goes in the boot when not in use - yes
Can the roof be put up with it on - Don't know, never tried! Maybe someone else on here has...

                        Cheers,

I bought one of the multiple-buys on here a few years ago. The reinforcing bar across the bottom of the Breezebreaker screen was too long to allow the soft top to be put up with it fitted. I was able to open up the vinyl cover and cut about 20mm off each end and reseal the cover. I can now leave the screen in place and erect the soft top. I don't know if this problem was a one off or if it has been resolved by the manufacturer.

I can confirm that the roof can be raised with the bosscreen in place, mine never comes off

                            regards

Agreed, BUT, be very careful that the locking handles haven't twisted around so they can get trapped by the hood frame as the soft top is lifted out of its stowage well. There have been many BossScreen Perspex panels cracked doing this.
