An interesting project would be HID, but not just HID replacement bulbs, no, HID projector lens cut into the back of the 5.75" light units.
It has been done before, the light units need to have plastic backs, which are available.
To be honest as I only use my car in the summer, with long light evenings, its on the bottom of the list.Mike.

HI Mike
The main aim is to improve the amount of light coming out of them as at the moment there is very little ,I have bought four new lights from ANG and am uprating the wiring and fitting relays ,not sure if In should go for the four dip four main but giving it some thought

John
Ours has 4 on dip and 4 on main. Four relays used.
R1 - outer dips
R2 - inner dips
R3 - outer mains
R4 - inner mains
Each relay has its own fuse. If a fuse or relay fails it takes out a pair so you stay legal. If a bulb goes you pull the fuse and again you remain legal.
As our car is used all year round to and from work etc it does a lot of trips in the town in the dark. I have pulled fuse R2 so only pair work on dip which saves the battery on short journeys. When going out for a longer run in the dark the fuse goes back for the full 4 and 4 operation.
Regards
Bruce

No and yes, regarding the BMW lights!
They are the same diameter, but different mounting.
This guide when fitting to the Capri, should also apply to the Stag.
Lots of cutting to the BMW lights, and I guess the Stag bowls.
