    2014 Round Britain Reliability Run

Just been checking the entry list for next years RBRR and so far there are 10 Stags entered (mine included). There are two Del Lines' models, a Stag Estate and Stag Saloon included. This year's charity for the run is Macmillan Nurses, a very worthwhile charity. Last year's run raised over £65,000 for Children with Cancer.

The Del Lines' estate will be the Register Chairman's and the saloon probably the President's!

Looking forward to seeing all the cars again!

    Cheers,
    Mike.
Mine since 1987. Finished a 20+ year rebuild in 2012. One of many Triumphs and a 1949 LandRover!

Ah, well, I didn't want to actually name them, but it'll be good to see them again. I've known Andy for over 25 years but Alan for only about 5. Let's hope Alan get's his estate finished in time. I'm sure he will.

        Cheers,
        Mike.

I'd love to be able to do this. My wife passed away in January this year and the MacMillan nurses were just incredible.
I've probably left it too late and would need to find a partner. Also coming from Cumbria it adds another 700 odd miles to the 2000.
Maybe on reflection it would be financially more sensible to raise some more money for MacMillan by doing a charity gig (I'm a musician)
Good luck to all taking part
          Andy

Having had Andy zoom past me on more than one occasion on the RBRR in Scotland and Wales I can confirm his Stag saloon makes a lovely sound and sight!

No, not yet, the list is up to 87 so far although Jason, the organiser, may have more to add. Officially the total is 100 cars, but there is always a reserve list which almost always are able to join the run due to people dropping out for various reasons. Always worth a punt, presuming you or your co-driver(s) is a member of Club Triumph.

A few places will probably be reserved for continental starters as the usual ones are not yet on the list.

That's good news. I'd love to do it, just need to pluck up the courage and find another nutter to join me - sorry, I mean find a co-driver!

Im daft enough to try but I really should consider finishing my car first! Maybe next time and get in early. (Have to join Club Triumph too first!! )

I've possibly found a willing victim for the exalted title of co-driver, so as long as I can twist his arm a bit more I'll get my entry in in the next couple of days. I must be mad - I'm looking forward to it already and haven't even entered yet!

Co-driver's SWMBO has agreed. Entry went in the post this morning, hopefully I'm not too late.
I haven't got access to real internet at the moment so can't check what the numers are now, last time I looked there were 87 entries. Time to start saving petrol money!

Good luck Richard. Just checked the list online, now up to 92. Its worth noting that last year there were 115 entries, with 16 withdrawals bringing that down to 99 and if I remember correctly at least another 1 withdrew shortly before the start

                          11 Stags now!

Steve. A very worthwhile charity as you say, as they do wonderful work. However, around £45,000 will also be going to the petrol companies and government coffers from fuel sales! I wonder if there is any (legitimate) way in which any tax can be reclaimed, as you are in effect donating the fuel cost to a charity? When I used to get paid to marshal on Classic Car rallies, the organisers sometimes asked for our VAT petrol receipts after the event, presumably in order to claim it back, and they were certainly not charity registered. Perhaps entrants on this event are asked to do the same? It hardly seems fair to have to spend £45,000 in order to collect £65,000.
