    Storm

This is a new thread but a continuation of the photos posted in my Stag Birthday Present post.
We are in the middle of a Storm the likes of which I have never seen before.
Our complex is already starting to fill up with water - ground floor & reception already flooded & the road outside is now a torrent.
Whether the Stag & the wife's car will survive where they are I don't know.

No sign of any let up and getting worse by the minute - off now to help out.

Thats a real shocker. World weather is becoming scary. Hoping it will not be too bad for you.

That's awful Terry. Look after yourselves. Hate to say it, but the stag has to come second to your safety. Good luck

Below are some more pics of the storm - The Motorway nearby, Our local Roundabout, and a picture taken from the Hills of one of many lightening strikes.
You have got to laugh though, as some bright spark has just posted the following on our Flog It Website :-

"Free rain water, excellent for indoor plants, around 5000,000,00 litres available, collect only los cristianos".

I would try and get a cover over the Stag asap as they all leak like sieves as we know

Luckily no damage done to the cars but our apartment had water coming through the ceiling from the balcony above but not too serious.
Been helping mop up most of the morning and shift some mud & boulders from just outside.
Got JCBs and the like on the road at the moment - it's covered in mud & stones and impossible to drive on.
At least it's temporarily stopped raining, and our Lifeguard has had a day off as there wasn't anybody using the Pool.
Just dried off and poured myself a glass of Dorada and will hopefully make it out for a Birthday Meal tonight.
Perhaps tomorrow I can continue changing the plugs in the Stag and fit the wife's new window mechanism in her car.
Then again I may have a hangover and not want to get up.
Thanks for your good wishes - glad I kept the hardtop on the Stag.

Good job it wasn't deep enough to get water in your carbs, Terry! Enjoy your evening, sounds like you deserve a drink, or three. Happy Birthday.

It's started absolutely throwing it down again - not going out anywhere and water is coming through the ceiling once more.!
Misses made me a Birthday Meal cause we can't get out & luckily I have beer in the fridge and plenty of Brandy, Whisky & other Spirits.
Can't watch TV (Football) as we lose all TV channels when it rains hard (wind & rain affects roof mounted satellite dish) so will have to
watch a DVD or find some other form of entertainment.
Several lamposts are down - just hope one doesn't fall on the Stag.
One of the main roads in town is now full of holes - just as though there has been an earthquake.
As long as I don't run out of beer & spirits I will be O.K.
1st birthday I've had were I have not been able to go out for a pint.

You'd be better off back in Blighty Terry. Weather's lovely here for the time of year

Isn't it somewhere in the Canaries that they reckon that a large bit of the cliffs will fall into the sea, starting a sunami that will devastate some of Europe and the Eastern USA seaboard?

                              How's it in Tenerife now?
