    Propshafts

Which propshaft is should l fit to my car. I bought a "complete" manual gearbox and the prop that came with it has a spline with a flange that should slide on it. It looks like it should BUT without hitting wih a big hammer it wont......
Also, what can go wrong with them, would l be better off buying a new recon one.

They get all clogged up inside the flange Malc, with hardened grease, dirt etc..also the splines on the prop need cleaning off..

When you have done all of that re-grease and try again and it should be able to slide up and down..

      Malc,
I would use the same grease as for the drive shafts

If you can get it to slide, the 'splined yoke' still won't come off until you unscrew the collar on the end.

When you reassemble it be careful as there are arrows on the yoke and the prop that need to be aligned.

        Cheers
