Hi can somebody explain why i am being logged out in mid session? also why can I not see any of my sent private messages, thanks, happy christmas to all, derek

I had the problem of being logged out when composing a post or a post reply. I found that by ticking the "remember me" when logging in cured the problem. Can't help on the private messages issue I'm afraid.

Derek, I can't think of any specific reason why you get logged out as it doesn't happen to me. I would suspect it is more to do with the cookies in your browser, so try what Rod suggested.

Also not sure why you can't see your messages. Admin rather than Mod's have that sort of access priviledges to check this, so I will pass to Carl / Brian.

Derek the pm view defaults to your inbox. on my view i have got a folder on the left labelled sent items

Goldstar is pointing you in the correct direction. By default the system is set not to save your sent Private Messages. Easy to change

Click Private Messages in the VBulletin header
In the boxes which appear to left of screen find the one 'My settings'

Then choose 'My Account'

Then choose 'General Settings' and scroll through the displayed options to the 'Private Messaging' settings'.
where the last option gives you the choice to save or not save sent messages.

The choice is yours.

Thanks all for the quick replies, I have changed my settings as suggested by Brian , Rod, I am already set as "remember me" so will continue to monitor it
