The key thing is to use the 'advanced' search option, here is a screen shot of what I did, from the search results, it was the 5th post down. Cheers, Keith.

Thanks, I've never thought of using that part.....
Still doesn't answer my problem though. LD parts says that you must grind away some of the bolt head !! Opens that little door to a big rust problem. Other suppliers just sell bolts not dowel bolts. I hope that the breakers might read this and sell the bolts with the gear box.
Also reading about longer nose bits that maybe l should put in the gear box. Any views on those parts.....and l thought l was close to fitting the engine..rofl

I don't think rust would be a problem; too much oil around for it to take hold
I think you are referring to the longer gearbox first motion shaft cover. These were introduced late in production and give a better support for the release bearing carrier. I fitted one, along with the later carrier, not long before I sold my MOD Stag. This resulted in a smooth clutch operation for the first time in years. I also fitted 4 of the 'dowel' bolts, rather than the two often referred to just because I had them and they fitted in four holes.
The longer cover is hard to come by because they weren't in production long. They tend to fetch good money when they do surface.Dave
