    Just an observation.

    There are many Stag owners who are members of SOC but not members of this forum and I am sure they would like to see the demise of it, why I do not know.

    With all the 'bickering' and detrimental comments in the past (and if we are not careful, in the future) lets not give them the satisfaction of laughing at us at our expense, in other words, let's not hang our dirty washing etc., etc..

    We have a pm system where we can vent our frustration between us and say things where no one else will see. I know it's an open forum as such but we really are doing ourselves no favours at all.

    You all know what I am saying and what I mean, it's just sometimes people on here cannot take it on the chin although they can dish it out, if they could this could be an even more interesting forum - such is life.

    there have been some thin skinned folk on here and it does become tiresome listening to the dull whining periodicaly but on the brighter side they do gradualy weed themselves out ,but on the other hand there are some fantastic folk on here who contribute considerably and also can take it on the chin as for others hoping for the forums demise they will have a long wait and i would guess it will be a lonely one so i understand your point jeff weve all been here so lets just leave it here as it dont pay to keep dreging up the same old tosh.
    happy new year and lets look forward to a great new year ive already got several things planned with lots of different forum members whom i regard as good friends so i cant wait for it all to kick off so we should look forwards to the good stuff we are quite an interactive bunch and generaly a good one "viva le forum "

      That's an awful post Steve. Just think, if anyone is googling on the remote off chance of finding a Viva Forum they're going to end up here.

          Great idea Jeff, but if the pm system is used to vent frustration it doesn't always stop at a private "discussion" - there was a time when such a pm was sent by a member expressing a private opinion, which was then distributed by the recipient to friends of his, a complaint sent to an admin from which a rebuke ensued to the originator then a witch hunt against the original sender which became very public, cowardly and sedicious.....

          Just not worth it because some people don't want to hear what others opinions are, even privately.... and we all know there are rules against opinions in public forum...

          I think that incident was the turning point for me anyway

            So someone broke the club rules by spreading the message, surely the subsequent inquisition found that evidence gained by an illegal act is not admissible?

            Jeff, agree with what you say, been down the PM route, they would make interesting reading!! but rules are rules.

            Maybe any post with the word opinion should be automatically moved into business section.

                  Jeff, I'm afraid the reality is that if threads are opened to admonish bickering it will only take 5 or 6 posts before the dirty washing is hung out on the line again.

                  Everyone's humour or sensibilities are different. As they say "Opinions are like ar*eh*les; everyone's got one".

                  There is much more chance of the harmony you desire if we concentrate on the things which we share in common rather than provoking topics where there are bound to be great differences between us. It doesn't have to be stuffy - there's plenty of room even in Stag threads for humour to occur naturally and for a fair share of banter, leg-pulling and satire.

                  Of the last 25 threads started by yourself, only 2 were related to the Stag and that means 23 out of 25 threads with the increased potential of descending into bickering and dirty washing.

                          They're fed up with my sarcasm, don't know why.

                          Also get a quicker response on here.

                          But at least I don't go running to the mods when someone says something I don't like or agree with.
