Has anyone got one of these and can comment about the sound, look and fit in their Stag?

Feedback on e bay looks good, seems a great item but cannot comment other than that.

Hi Mark,

I have a Gelhard Classic 40. It seems to be a copy (or the original) of the autosound radio. It was easy to fit. I use it with 2 speakers in the rear cubby panels and a center speaker in the dashboard. For me it looks good. The sound is as good as with a prior fitted Sony radio but not similar to the sound of in modern car.

What I have to mention is, that the front is a little bit thick and is therefore near the control switches for choke, fan, etc.

Gerd, does it drive the electric aerial OK and do you have any pictures of it fitted in your car?

Hi Mark,

It drives the electric aerial without problems. As you can see on the photo, the front of my Gelhard is in silver and not mixed with black as the autosound radio. Maybe the black surface looks "more vintage".
