restore

Hi everybody.first time in the forum so bear with me;-)..I have just required my first Stag (premature inheritance from my dad). My dad had this mk2 for 10 years .Mechanically it's quite sound but the body work needs a lot of attention. What I am looking for is some advice on getting it restored. Do I put it into a recommended Stag garage or an individual who can do it at their own leisure over a few months?I live in Battersea, SW London. anybody got any ideas for this new SOC member?Looking forward to hear your advice. Welcome to Stag ownership and the forum

I hope someone closer to you can come and give you some advice but I think a lot depends upon your budget and your own capabilities/wish to do things yourself.

Hi Julian, thanks for replying to me,at least I have got a "thread "going,that's s good start:-). probably won't have the skills to do major work on the car so I have a few grand saved to spend on her. Would you know a "ball park" figure for a full restore?Thanks again

you have enginuity in action, or spectrum auto services in sydenham london, they can get body work done for you ,but you can also get help on here if you do the work yourself

rimmers sell a body restoration kit, of some of the body panels you may need thats about £1000 for parts only
