What thread are the boot lock attachment screws?

My second hand boot must have had a repair as it didnt have the holes or captive nuts to attach the boot lock, so having drilled the holes, I am making a couple of little plates to hold in with chemical metal that I need to drill and tap.

Whilst I imagine that the two screws are the same thread as all the other small screws on the body that I have previously used a tap to clean out with, said tap has gone walk about, so I need another.

Can anybody tell me the size and thread form for these two screws please?

The thread will be either UNF or UNC my guess is UNF not sure about the size

I seem to recall they are a fine thread so maybe 3/16" unf or smaller there is also a chance they may be BA !

Have you considered RivNuts? These are excellent for captive, or blind, nuts.

have a look on LD parts they sell the screws it may tell you the thread,i have bought some there NUF PhilCSK3/1

No, LD parts doesnt give the thread.
They are 32 tpi so I thought they might be 3/16 bsf but that doesnt seem to be the case.
Those Riv Nuts look good but looks like they would leave the lock proud, I would still need to know what size thread to get, plus they need a special tool.
My way will work fine if I can discover what thread Triumph use.
