    What a plonker!

Yes... that's me! Got in the Stag this morning to go to work. Started normally, drove normally until I came to a junction. The engine nearly stalled and idled slowly and very lumpily (is that a word?!). It was -2Celcius so I just thought the engine had not warmed up properly. 10 miles into the journey I just had to stop and look - I had put oil in yesterday and there was the oil filler cap, sitting on the front panel. I had forgotten to put it back on I'm really luckily it was still there!!

Drive a Stag every day... it's wonderful!

Well if it's confession time I did that as well - left the filler cap on top of the air filter. Presumably the pad on the underside of the bonnet held it in place for the 2 or 3 miles I drove it. Mind you, it didn't affect the engine running.
