"jacked up at the back" when was the last time you see one of these
I can't claim to have ever done that to any of my cars, but I did once obtain the "jacked up" effect on my HB Viva when the front suspension collapsed!
Once used a set of jacking bars to alter the ride height of my old Cortina Mk2 Estate - the springs were so shagged that it just about managed to get back to the correct level...
must admit to having a mark 2 cortina TJR 992H raised a good few inches. went over a humped bridge and the front struts popped up and bent the bonnet to buggery..
Still managed to drive it home. Oh the good old days LOL
Always lowered my Triumphs so I could leave the few of my mates who had jacked up escorts for dead round the twisty bits. Come to that my 1500 Toledo could out corner standard 1600 escorts and just about live with them on the straights (1300 axle but overdrive box)

I once put massively wide van tyres on my Mk1 GT Cortina. I thought it looked cool but the steering had a mind of its own. Also had a Mk1 escort with Carlos Fandango wheels. Youth eh!
in my younger days i did jack up a viva HB , also fitted mk3 cortina rear lights, and vinyled the roof, and was going to fit side pipes as well

Well that nice to hear that were all a little mad then , I had a mk1 Cortina 2 door painted in metallic red with a gold strip and furry head lining, it had been painted with an airless paint sprayer (nice), the tyres were worth more than the car they were 165x13 Dunlop SP sports.

I had a mini saloon, and the trailing arm pivot seized on it shaft, which then wore an oval hole in the sub-frame. Looking for a reasonable sub-frame in scrap-yards, I found one on a mini-van. I didn't realise that the suspension trumpets were different, so when I fitted it complete to my mini, it raised the rear. Not intentional, but it did handle better with weight in the back!
Those were the days!
