    One for Tanya

I see your town has made the BBC news

The owner of a British food shop in Canada says he has been ordered to stop selling Marmite, Ovaltine and Irn-Bru as they contain illegal ingredients.

Good to see not even the otherwise sensible Canadians are immune to non-sensical bureaucracy, as I'd hate to think stupidity would be an exclusive trait of us Europeans!!!

Bloody hell! I've only last month posted a jar of marmite and 2 Twiglet multipacks to my brother in BC - they all arrived safely without interference, and the package was clearly marked as to contents.

So the question is, when I go to see him in July, loaded with marmite for big brother's cupboard, will I be frogmarched to a damp cell, or can I claim personal consumption? (although I hate the stuff)

Mind you, Irn Bru, maybe they have a point?

Everyone knows that Irn Bru is made from girders, so what's the problem with those Canadian clip board poeple?

I will have to check if it is OK to scan and post the article from Stag News and Tanya; I am new to all this Stag stuff and don't want to tread on any toes (hooves?!) (copyright, etc.)

Blimey. Was away only a few days and now find out me Marmite supply is under jeopardy
How do you detain meat anyway? Is it likely to run away or summat?

                        Tanya,

You may have written the ideal defence. Marmite is made from Yeast Extract (says so on the Jar) and there's no meat in it. Wonderful stuff, it's on my toast every day.

As for that infernal imitation Bovril, the clue is in the name, *******ised BOVINE. There's meat in that for sure, and for me they can keep it, it's not a patch on the real stuff.

So, go knock bits off those clipboard people....

                        Regards
