Cool air intake filter. Closed Thread

For reasons which are not relevant, I was considering replacing my Stroms with the carb set up offered by VMad Chris.

It's a difficult decision to make due to the cost and other considerations including choice of air filter.

For what it's worth, I thought that the "pan handle" air cleaner was too American.

I was struggling with the decision to commit funds to the set up with the Ramflo alternative when I welcomed a new thread which described a new alternative which more resembles the original oblong filter box.

All threads, in my opinion, are helpful, informed and independent, so I am dismayed to find that this thread has been blocked.

I have already invested in header tank and indicator buzzer upgrades supplied by VMad and have no problems with his products. I can assure you that I am not related to, sleeping with, carrying his baby or otherwise connected with Chris or his business and am only interested in the best spending of my hard, taxed earned.

Can those who consider that I am incapable of interpreting contrary opinions or fending off unintended offence, please offer their reasons for blocking threads and free enterprise?

am only interested in the best spending of my hard, taxed earned. If that is the case why not buy a header tank from the breakers/Ebay for a tenner IMO well maintained and correctly set up Stromberg's will give you the same performance and economy as a Webber without the other modifications necessary. I think you have to weigh up the benefit's (if there are any) against the outlay, Cheers Graham

I have one of Chris 's Webber on my Stag and for me it was one of the best things I have ever fitted ,I found Chris very helpful and the service he offered was excellent ,I feel some people are a little jealous of his success

I presume that was meant for me, OK right to reply. Firstly it depends how you measure a man's success and secondly why would I be jealous And just for the record I was comparing Strom's to Webber's I did not mention any names, it was just an opinion then suddenly banners get waved again. I am in the happy position where I can research and develop my own mod's so I have no reason whatsoever to be jealous of anybody. Cheers Graham
