    Topless...

    No, not that kind!

I just wanted to show what I have to put up with at the moment... It's been like this since 26th December, unfortunately the builder my landlord contracted hasn't bothered turning up to put a new roof on just yet....

    Oh dear!

does the Stag have a cover over it too keep the elements out? Do I see its door to the left?

    Regards

Well, I do have a cover put it tends to blow off every now and then with all the storms we have, plus it traps all the moisture underneat it when it's dry (rarely) so I'm not sure if there's much point with a cover.

Yep, the doors are off and all interior stripped out, so there's nothing that will start to rot from being soaked by the rain, luckily. And there's no bare metal that will start rusting excessively, so it should be ok. I'm planning a doing some body restoration anyway, so this is hopefully just a bit of a delay. The landlord (and I) was relieved though that the roof didn't fall down on the Stag!

      Cheers,
      Joakim

Bad news Joakim, as a chippy who does a lot of roofing I can tell you it is miserable at the moment but I'm still getting out there and doing a bit despite being too old for this sh1t.
Tell your builder to man up.
        cheers Steve

Is it the builders hand stuck in your bonnet?

Tell your landlord you will stop paying your rent unless he sorts it, you have all the cards as a tenant.

              Cheers Steve

                Hi Steve,

I've considered that for sure, but he's normally so good with sorting things out so will give him a bit more time. He's not had much luck with builders in the last while, there was a guy who was supposed to paint the house we're renting last summer, but he never turned up! Thankfully that isn't anything I'm too worried about.

Will be talking to the landlord this weekend again to see what the story is with the roof rebuild. I'm guessing the builder is doing (eventually) the roof with mates rates, so perhaps the idea is to do it over a weekend when the sun is shining and there is just a gentle breeze keeping them nicely cool up on the roof....

Ah well, at least it gives me time to fiddle with the little stuff I can do in our lounge.

                Cheers,
                Joakim
