This weekend I am hoping to replace my old scabby gearbox oil cooler with this bargain item from a 2002 X type, V6 Jag. Total cost £12. I will need to do a bit of work with the brackets and pipe work but at that price, who cares. oil cooler.jpg
Re instating interior.... Door cards, small centre unit, parcel shelf.. remade and recovered as required All my own work I might add. Then the rear cubby boxes and rear seat... not a lot to do there though. Is it essential to bolt the rear seat in?
No it's not, it will stay in place, maybe with help of Velcro. Makes it easy to get at hood if rear latches fail.
Good point and it is most likely to fail!! And there is only one as the other has failed!! needs a new piece that has the latch pin on it rather than the broken bit that is on there now!
You can file the holes for the studs in to a key hole shape, then you will be able lift and release the seat back like a picture frame hook if you leave the nuts slightly loose.

I'm making a start fitting my Stagdaddy water pump.
I've already snapping an inlet manifold bolt, so I've got that to remove and a Wurth insert to fit. The other bolt threads look a bit iffy so may put inserts in them too, and will fit new bolts.

I am hoping to get the TR running again, been fitting the megasquirt ecu to it, a few more wires and it is done. Just need it to stop raining and have. some daylight before I try starting it.
