    Breather filter

HI,folks quick question which way does arrow point on filter at petrol pump (i have it pointing to front of car!) also on a previous thread it was said extra breather pipe on top of tank could be blanked off mine goes to bottom of filler cap is this right ?
    cheers Brian.

Bottom of filler cap hose should exit under the car via the filter. The stub on the top of the tank should be blocked off, sounds like someone has got yours muddled.

Yep, as Ian says, the one from the bottom of the filler cap is designed to provide a drain off, outside the car, for any fuel spilt inside the filler cap.

The one on the side of the filler neck is for venting and goes from there, through the filter/flame trap (arrow can point forwards but probably doesn't matter) to another pipe that vents under the car.

The extra pipe on the top of the tank should be blanked off.

      Cheers

      Julian

Just to be clear, (and probably unpopular) nothing new there then, The bottom (drain) pipe from the filler neck does NOT go through the filter as Ian said. Don't want wrong info thats all. Graham

LOL yes we can't afford to waste a drop these days! However I think if you put the drain back into the tank you will just get a tank full of rain water!
