Forum problems.

Jeff - Probably, or "maybe". lol But mods are supposed to try to help folks with forum problems like this so you are safe.

I downloaded Chrome to see how it works.

On the rhs of the toolbar, click on the three horizontal bars, then select "settings" from the drop down menu.

When that page comes up, go down to "advanced settings" and click on that. One option now becomes available called "Privacy", with a button called "clear browsing data". Click on that.

Now you have some options as to what data to clear, and also a drop down menu for the time period within which to operate. If it were me, I would clear the first 4 items "from the beginning of time".

Be aware that doing this will log you out of any and all sites you normally stay logged into, including this one, so make sure you can remember your username and passwords for them all.

This has overlapped on another thread so I will bring it back here.

When I bring up the page with new posts and activity threads, the time is correct but when I press the activity button, the time displays wrong by 1 hour.

When I go into a thread, the last post displays wrong by 1 hour but as soon as I post on that thrad, the time corrects itself.

I have cleared cache like Wilf suggested and checked the time zone.

Any suggestions anyone, please.

I just logged out and viewed the forum as a guest. The times were all 1 hour ahead.
When I logged in, the times are correct. Is this what you are doing, Jeff?
This means that the base forum software is set for GMT +1, so Carl will have to fiddle "under the bonnet" to solve this one (I don't think the Mods have that level of power over us!).

Jeff. Wilf is perfectly correct in telling you how to delete the cookies from Google Chrome but here is a bit simpler way do as Wilf said go to the three bars top right click . On the drop down list click History in the box that shows click clear browsing history you can tick the clear cookies box . As wilf said tick the first four boxes good luck .

Thanks Derek, bit late, I did as Wilf suggested, problem is I've deleted all my porn site history now and need to start over...............................only joking (hasn't really, still got some).

Also, make sure that the next option is Automatically detect DST settings.
On one of my PCs, it doesn't store my login name/password, and, until I logged in, the forum time was one hour ahead.
