    Over rider rubbers

Just received two new rubbers for the front over riders as one has perished and dropped off. Do I need to remove the front bumper to access the bolts holding the rubbers on or is it possible to get at them with the bumper in situ?

Raining at the moment (what a surprise!) so don't feel like laying down to have a look!

No Steve you can just remove the overider with the bumper still in place a bit fiddly but can be done. when I bought my Stag last year the PO had removed the overiders for some reason but they came with the car and I refitted them

hi,you may find they will be badly corroded,in which case its just as easy to take bumper off rather than regret the large scratch down the front panel where the ratchet slips off/or your nuckles

Plus gaz is better it is designed to loosen seized parts . WD 40 will probably work if not to badly seized. My mate has just bought a Volvo P1800 ES and the cold starting sensor needed replacing it was seized in solid it too a week of soaking but he got the two bolts out of the head no problem .
            Good luck Derek
