New Forest Run - can we do it again ?

This year's New Forest Run, exclusively for Triumphs, is on Sunday April 6th.

Last year, as in 2011, Stags outnumbered any other Triumph so can we do it again this year ? (I'm sure it's only co-incedence that 2011 and 2013 are the only years that I've taken part )

    run_stats.png

It a good day out in pleasant scenery and, it only costs £12 a car. This year, I see it finishes on Bournemouth seafront, so why not come along and lets see if we can make it a 'victory' for Stags again

Here's their website: http://www.triumphnewforestrun.co.uk/ and if you happen to click on their videos section (not exactly riverting viewing, I'm afraid) http://www.triumphnewforestrun.co.uk/index.php/videos then you may just recognise the car in the holding frame for the 2011 run

Hope to see lots of you there

    Cheers

    Julian

Julian, I will definitely be doing this one again as it's one of the best events of the year.

Maybe in the MM this year, unless I am needed as a co-driver again in Peters Stag

Well done Ian - but you must do it in the MM AS WELL AS Peter doing it in his. That way we've got a better chance of Stags being supreme again

Look forward to seeing you there.

      Cheers

                  Hi Glenn,

'fraid I won't be at Shepton - son's taking us off to Italy as a Christmas present

Paul (firept) was asking about it so he may be going.

Have a good time and hope to see you on the New Forest Run.

                  Cheers

                    Glenn/Julian,

What is on at Shepton? Is it a rerun of the show we went to last year?

                        Hi Dave,

There are two car shows at Shepton each year.

This spring one is usually described as an autojumble whilst the one later in the year (dates have varied over the years) is a proper classic car show.

Having said that, there are lots of club stands and that sort of the thing, making the spring event more than just an autojumble. In truth, there's not a lot of difference between the two events, although the spring one is usually quite a bit smaller.

I'd certainly be going if I wasn't away, however is it worth the trip up from Exeter ? mmmmm ? I'd say that if you don't build your hopes up too high, you won't be disappointed

How about the New Forest run in April then ? I don't expect it's a lot further to go for you than it is for me !

                        Cheers

                        Julian

If I tie my Stag to the back of yours Julian can I come?

Its rolling now (as you know) but as for powering and stopping itself now thats a different matter..
I was thinking a big tyre attached to your back bumper would do the trick

                          Sam

Sounds tempting Julian. I'll have a look. Depends on whether my current project is successful..........

Will you need an outboard motor for this one?
