    Metering Needle

Just a quick thread to anyone who may be encountering the same problem, took the stag out friday, (dry for a change) and it had a slight misfire?, and stalled at a junction, but immediately started up again, got back home checked every thing, thought it was the pump. But no. eventually, took the dashpots off the carbs, I noticed that the left hand Metering Needle had dropped and the retaining screw was loose, tightened it all, and he is now running better than has been for months.

If it has dropped that would suggest it is not engaged with the thread on the Adjuster anymore

Great - it feels good when you find a specific problem and a definite fix, doesn't it ?

          Well done.

          Cheers
